2/19/16 Friday (Viernes) Problems of modern digital technology. Problemas de la tecnologia moderna.

Yesterday’s work on the phone line might have improved internet slightly. Today, after my morning exercise dog walk and expresso stop, tried to deal with the digital clutter of the mysterious storage device cards that I have accumulated since 2008, or even earlier (digital memorabilia). Have to look at them and decide what to do with contents if any. Found some photos not on iCloud, and videos. Working on moving large files like recorded videos, to my computer to edit and do something with it, but it is not as easy as it seems or advertise. Internet speed is so slow that just a single video could take a day, if the internet does not give up and cancels the download. Tried cable transfers, but everything shot iPhone, is uploaded automatically, and have not figured out how to download at home, where it is convenient to do this. Problems of modern digital technology.

I love media and communication, as well as digital technology. I write and speak fluently in Spanish and English. I was born in New York, but was sent to Puerto Rico at an early age, where I lived until drafted by the U.S. army. Upon returning from an honorable discharge, I found Puerto Rico small and limited at the time. I moved to Boston where I pursued musical studies and later worked as a musician, teacher, and speech-pathologist in New York. I am currently still interested in world politics, social justice, and income inequality. Health and wellness are essential to survive and thrive. I am working on patience and skills necessary to keep learning.
