On This Labor Day, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats Fight for Workers; Donald Trump and the GOP Wage War on Workers

“We are the wealthiest country in the world at the wealthiest moment in our history. Shamefully, we have tens of millions of people living in poverty. The middle class is being squeezed out, caught between those with unprecedented wealth and those who suffer food insecurity, who go to bed hungry.”

While the Trumpians argue about who is more “American”, poor people wonder “What the hell are they talking about?”. Who cares if the wealthiest people in the world are get more wealth, if most of the millions living in the United States are struggling to stay afloat. That includes the “Taco trucks in every corner”, “Second amendment”, “African-American friend(s)” and all legal or undocumented immigrants in America today. The American Dream is a myth for most.

I love media and communication, as well as digital technology. I write and speak fluently in Spanish and English. I was born in New York, but was sent to Puerto Rico at an early age, where I lived until drafted by the U.S. army. Upon returning from an honorable discharge, I found Puerto Rico small and limited at the time. I moved to Boston where I pursued musical studies and later worked as a musician, teacher, and speech-pathologist in New York. I am currently still interested in world politics, social justice, and income inequality. Health and wellness are essential to survive and thrive. I am working on patience and skills necessary to keep learning.
